Several members of the senior class found their way into my office yesterday and decided to prank the principal!


Caleb Hunter was selected as a member of the Class 4A All-Star 3200 Meter Relay team. The relay was competed Tuesday, May 17th at Meet of Champions held on the OBU campus. Caleb’s relay team came in first!

Tomi Murdock with Alpha Delta Kappa presents senior, Destin Walker with a $500 scholarship. Congratulations, Destin!

SRO Wilkerson treated the 4th grade to ice cream for the end of year DARE celebration. We are so thankful for this program and SRO Wilkerson.


The McLoud School Foundation presented three $1,000 scholarships at the McLoud High School Academic Awards Program held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. The following students were presented scholarships by the MSF President Austin Carroll: Novalee Faith Bishop, Taylor Lynn Kennedy and Mackynsie Marie McKedy. Each scholarship check will be awarded in the spring of 2023 after the student has successfully completed the fall semester at an accredited school of higher learning adn upon presentation of their fall transcript, with the check being paid directly to the school.
In addition, the DeLaine Baxter Memorial Scholarship was presented to Jacob Claxton by Rusty Hall. This scholarship is being presented in honor of DeLaine Baxter who was a teacher, wrestling coach and principal at McLoud High School. The $3,000 scholarship, $1,500 per semester, is paid out at the end of the fall and spring semesters after presentation of transcripts.
The Jo Worthen Memorial STEM Scholarship was presented to Taylor Lynn Kennedy by Megan Ellis. This scholarship is named in memory of McLoud graduate Jo Worthen and it is for $2,000 paid out over four semesters. It is awarded to a McLoud HS female senior who is pursuing a degree in a STEM related field. Jo worked as a journeyman electrician, and preventative maintenance specialist using ultrasound, thermography and data analysis for General Motors and then for OGE. The scholarship's goal is to help a student stay in higher education as she pursues her degree.
The MSF was formed to provide yearly scholarships for graduating senior and to provide teacher grants. Donations to the McLoud School Foundation are tax deductible, as the organization has a 501(c)(3) designation. The High School Anatomy classes went and read the ABC’s of Anatomy books they made to the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes at the ECC. They had a great time!

We are so excited about our upcoming Summer Pathfinders Program. Teachers and staff are working already to make this an amazing experience. Registration is full at this time. We will make a wait list for any that continue to come in. Teachers will call each family the week before program starts to let them know any details about camp regarding transportation, schedules, and such.
