McLoud JH/HS took 10 Unified Doubles Teams to compete at Area Bowling today at Firelake Bowling Center in Shawnee. The athletes worked hard, had fun and brought home multiple blue ribbons! The athletes will bowl again at Winter Games in January.

Local man, Carl Foster has worn a different costume each morning in October to wave and greet students and teachers as they arrive at school. Scarlett Fleeman, 1st grader at McLoud ECC along with Kindergarten teachers Brianne Adams and Mindy Smith were interviewed for the story that will appear tonight on News 9 at 6:00 pm.

The Pioneer Library System has just launched their partnership with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to provide one free book a month to children under the age of 5. You can read all about the program here. A flier for the program is attached. Anyone who has a McLoud zip code of 74851 is eligible for the program. Residents who live in Harrah zip code 73045 or Newalla Zip code 74857 who fall within Oklahoma County will be eligible when the Metropolitan System launches their program. The State Department of Education has made it their goal to get all of Oklahoma covered by this program.
