Enrollment is July 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

McLoud JH Orientation will be held on Monday, August 5th. 8th graders and their parent(s) will attend from 5:00-6:00 PM. 7th graders and their parent(s) will attend 6:15-7:15PM. Enrolled students will receive their schedules at this time. Meetings will be held in the Secondary Cafeteria. More details will be given out at enrollment.
FRESHMAN ORIENTATION will be Tuesday, August 6th from 6:00-7:15 in the Fine Arts Building. See you there Redskins!
Parents and Guardian. Time for McLoud Junior High school enrollment. Go to the school website, www.mcloudschools.us and access the online enrollment website, familyid.com (you will need to create a family account). Please complete the online enrollment and bring a copy of your proof of residency (electric, gas, water, land-based phone line) and for 7th graders, a copy of your child's immunization record to the High School East building on July 17th from 7 am to 3 pm or July 18th from 11 am to 7 pm. A TDAP Booster immunization is required for ALL 7th-grade students. If you are not able to complete the online enrollment, we will have computer access during enrollment for you to use. Junior High schedules will not be available at enrollment but will be distributed at Junior High Orientation.
MJHS Supply lists. This list is not complete but wanted to let parents/guardians get a head start on purchasing. Finalized lists will be provided at a later time.

The McLoud School Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 11th has been moved to Tuesday, July 16th. The meeting will be held at the McLoud Board Office at 6:00 p.m.

2019-2020 McLoud Little League Wrestling
For the 2019-2020 school year we will be bringing little league wrestling back to McLoud for both boys and girls, Kindergarten - 8th Grade. Wrestling is a sport that teaches individuals how to have discipline, self control, self motivation, heart, dedication, humility, work ethic, desire, and mental toughness. Wrestling is also a great “offseason” sport that prepares individuals for other sports due to the amount of coordination and body control it takes to be good at wrestling. Here’s some proof:

Ohio State’s Jim Tressel is another example. “He has stated on more than one occasion to local high school recruits and coaches that he would rather recruit a football player who has a wrestling background than one who doesn’t.”
“I would have all my offensive linemen wrestle if I could.” -John Madden Hall of Fame NFL Coach
Summer Open Gym: We will be offering free open gym all summer on Sunday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 pm starting June 9th at the McLoud HS wrestling room. We would like to offer these open gyms as an opportunity for kids to try the sport of wrestling at no cost or risk before dedicating to the season in the fall. Youth wrestling season will begin the last week of October and more info will be available the closer we get to the start of season.
Wrestling Meeting: We will have a meeting on the first day of summer open gym, June 9th at 6:30pm at the High School Wrestling room, so that we can all meet and talk about the direction we would like to see the wrestling program go, as well as give us all an opportunity to meet and see what wrestling is all about.
Final Thought: I would like to thank everyone for the opportunity to be able to coach your student athletes and I look forward to meeting y’all. We’re going to do big things here in McLoud. GO REDSKINS!!!
