Corbin Cross participated in the Lone Star Para Invitational event in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday, April 4th and took First Place in the men's U20 Shot Put. He has several more meets this spring, but his distance at this event qualifies him for competition later this summer at the Move United ParaSports National Championships.
FYI- the two people in the picture watching him are actual USA Olympic officials. You can see the shot put above the head of the person in blue.

When at OBU, we got to see the legend... Doc Smith!! He is thriving at OBU and still impacting students lives! We are thankful to connect with a McLoud Alum anytime we can!! Link Crew was thankful for the opportunity to tour OBU as part of the Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy.

Today, the student council had the honor of hosting nine other schools at the Spring District 9 Convention as part of their role as District Secretary. This year, nearly 200 students came to visit McLoud to talk about leadership, to help others, and to have fun at our Thunder themed convention! We were also fortunate to be joined by our guest speaker, Sydney Arguello, a former MHS StuCo President and graduate, and currently Miss Stroud on her way to compete at Miss Oklahoma! She talked about the importance of relying of leadership and perseverance. The convention went great and the student council officers and members there did a fantastic job of facilitating the different activities and being great role models.
