Science in Action!! 5th grade students are learning about the sun’s apparent motion in science. They traced shadows and checked to see how they changed throughout the day as well as comparing their shadows with shadows from other times. Our students love their hands on Science lessons.
There will be no Friday Focus this Friday, March 12th due to Spring Break. We will resume on Friday, March 26th.
MHS band competed in the district band contest at Cushing today. They received an excellent rating on stage and in sight-reading! They sounded awesome!

Nathan Eaton received a superior rating on solo trumpet at District Solo and Ensemble Contest this weekend. He has qualified to compete in OSSAA State Solo and Ensemble in April. Congratulations, Nathan!

Good afternoon MHS students and parents! I would like to take the opportunity to let you know that there are several key events that ARE going to take place at the high school this spring! First and foremost, graduation will be at the Firelake Arena on May 14th at 7:00 PM. Graduation will take place with limited seating as per Firelake guidelines but it is going to happen!
Our seniors will observe their senior sunrise, slideshow , and a parade to all the grade schools on Wednesday May 5th.
Last but certainly not least, Prom will go on as scheduled! Prom is set for Friday, April 24th from 7:00-11:00 PM at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center in Shawnee. Details about price, guest, etc.... will be coming in the next few days!
