McLoud Drama Department Presents: Mean Girls' Jr. Thursday May 1 and Friday May 2 at 7 pm Sunday May 4 at 2:30 pm The Plastics have deemed Broadway Junior worthy of their presence in Mean Girls JR! This "fetch" musical from book writer Tina Fey (30 Rock), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), and composer Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) is packed with keen wit, an undeniably catchy score, and a sincere message for everyone. Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. Cady and her friends devise a "Revenge Party" to end Regina’s reign, with Cady going undercover as an aspiring Plastic. When the lines between the real Cady and her Plastic self get blurred, she must find her way back to herself and her true friends.

Hello Parents, Families, & Community Members! National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9, and we are making a special effort this year to express heartfelt appreciation for our teachers and staff. During the week of May 5-9, our school is doing an amazing Teacher Appreciation Themed Week with lots of contests and treats each day (It’s a secret, so I can’t quite tell you the theme, but we are SOOOOO excited!). I’m sure it will be fun and exciting for the students as well. We have creative ideas and special privileges for many of the prizes and treats, but we could use support: 1. We need to obtain a good pool of $5-10 gift cards for the contest prizes. These could be to any place you think teachers and staff might like, and having a variety is part of the fun. If you would like to donate one or more, please drop them off at the office by May 2nd or email any e-gift cards to cgilliam@mcloudschools.us These are cards we will use as prizes for the school-wide contests, so please don’t let this take away from anything you might normally do for your individual teachers. Thank you, everyone, for stepping up and helping us make this a special Teacher Appreciation Week!

The week before Christmas somehow seemed to be the busiest of the year, but our teachers and staff were able to slow down long enough to enjoy a yummy lunch made possible through some generous donations! Thank you, Seth Wadley of Ada and Jenifer Stevenson, Realtor, for making us all feel special!!

We couldn't be prouder of our McLoud Intermediate Teacher of the Year, Ms. Denny! She was nominated by her fellow teachers for her dedication to excellence in the classroom. Ms. Denny will now go on to represent our building as she competes for District Teacher of the Year!
