McLoud Family,
We hope you and your family are safe and warm. After closely monitoring road and weather conditions, we are pleased to share that McLoud Public Schools will resume traditional, in-person learning tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Road conditions have improved significantly across our district; however, some slick spots may remain, especially on neighborhood and side streets. Please allow extra time for travel tomorrow morning, drive slowly, and use caution when entering parking lots and drop-off areas.
Buses will run at their normal times, but please note they may be a few minutes behind schedule as drivers take extra precautions and travel more slowly through neighborhoods and on side streets.
We also understand that some families may take additional time traveling to school due to road conditions. We will work with students and families who may arrive late as safety remains our top priority.
If you choose to keep your child home tomorrow due to the road conditions in your area, please contact your child’s school office to report the absence. We will work with all students who miss school for this reason to ensure they stay caught up with classwork.
Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as we transition back to normal operations. We truly appreciate your flexibility and commitment to student safety and learning.
