The McLoud Red sixth grade OJABA academic bowl team placed first in the district competition at Oklahoma Bible Academy in Enid. The McLoud White team placed second. Both teams are now qualified for the regional competition on Feb . 28 at McLoud.

Sixth grade Gifted and Talented students at McLoud Intermediate School enjoyed a field trip to the Oklahoma School of Science and Math. Students at the school consist of juniors and seniors from across the state who excel in math and science and also must meet standards of test scores, classroom performance, letters of recommendations and personal interviews to be accepted. Tuition to the school is waived.
